- Being sat in nothing more than a small inflatable zodiac boat, watching whales breach just in the straights North of Quebec in Canada.
- Walking barefoot on the beautiful sandy beaches of La Digue in the Seychelles.
- Walking around the ruins of Machu Pichu in Peru – took my breath away! (and not just because of the altitude).
- Waking up in the morning on board the Eastern Orient Express train, pulling back the curtains and seeing beautiful paddy fields covered in morning mist with sun bursting through.
- Going for a jog around the Opera House in Sydney at 6am followed by a champagne breakfast on one of the private terraces of the Opera House. Later that day driving pillion, on a Harley Davidson, to Bondi Beach, and to cap the day off , we chartered a catamaran for sun-downer cocktails as we sailed around Sydney Harbour. Not bad work if you can get it!
- Learning to drive a snow-mobile ! such good fun.
- Learning to water-ski, good fun - once I learnt to stand up !
- Learning to scuba dive - once I learnt to roll off the side of the boat !
- Canoeing in Zimbabwe - was fun, until we started to get between a mummy Hippo and her baby, it soon became less fun and quite intense.
- Getting a “hole in one” at Gleneagles !
